Sissi Tellechea
Sissi teaches the Contemporary and Body Toning and Stretching classes.
She is a professional contemporary dancer from Cuba based in Oxford. She received her training at the National School of Art in Cuba, where she graduated as a teacher and dancer of Modern, Contemporary, and Cuban Folklore Dance in 2005. After completion of her studies, she joined the national dance company “Danza Contemporánea de Cuba,” collaborating with international choreographers such us Cathy Marston, Yans Linkens, Mats Ek, Ana Laguna, and Rafael Bonachela. She shared her duties as a dancer with her teaching commitments at the National School of Ballet and Entertainment in Cuba, where she was a member of the examination panel until 2009. She has collaborated with the physical theatre company “Point Zero,” also based in Oxford, and toured with “Rakatan Company” in 2010. She has participated as a choreographer and dancer in several music videos. She will launch her own dance academy during 2014.
