This class will use classic Pilates exercise to achieve common dancers’ goals. The class will focus on improving the strength of the core as well as developing awareness and control of the body. Core strength will improve posture, technique, balance, and flatten the stomach. The class will also work on flexibility and joint mobility.
This class has been designed for those with reasonable level of fitness, but does not require previous pilates experience.
I completed my Pilates Instructor course at Tirisula Yoga in 2014. I am a keen dancer and choreographer, I have previously taught dance and exercise classes for the university. I have a recently completed my PhD in biomechanics.
