Formal description: The Intermediate Ballet class, taught by Marianna, is for more experienced ballet dancers, based on a free syllabus, with new exercises every week of about intermediate level. However, the level of the class will vary depending on the level of attendants. This is a fun but challenging class that aims at improving your technique and get you dancing, with particular focus on adagios and allegros.
Slightly more informal: most of the dancers attending this class have had a few years of experience and then took a break and wanted to start again once they got back to Uni. The class is extremely friendly in terms of both teachers and other dancers and you can really do as much or as little as you want/can do. Marianna is an absolutely amazing teacher and I think if you give the class a try you will fall in love with her.

Yoga and dance technique class
Unfortunately not many dancers stay in Oxford over the summer so we can't have all our regular classes running, but I know the few of us who are left get really excited at the sound of a dance class and that is how we came up with our Yoga and dance technique class, and it is exactly what the name promises, a class which starts with a beautiful yoga sequence, Tara Stiles is my first inspiration: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxgtlcfcD7E (one of many inspirational videos), which will be followed by some dance technique including turns, jumps and poses, yaaay!!! Something to aspire to: www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZArGxzcYvc Hoping to practice with many of you for the weeks to follow! Karina
